The joys of countryside

Drinking fresh water from a well, running in a big garden in the middle of all the green and eating cacao fruit fresh from the tree amidst yam plants.

Wax jambu tree in bloom

Wax jambu (or water roseapple, syzygium jambolana) has wonderful pink flowers that cover the ground underneath the tree.

I still don't know the name of this flower although it grows on our front yard.

The mall in Ji-Paraná

The only really cool thing about it were the elevators (you have to realise we live in the bushes where there are no elevators...).

However the mall itself was really small; just one corridor in each floor.

And most of the shops were closed, empty or being renovated. So there were only a few shops actually functioning in each floor.

Ji-Paraná

It's so much bigger than our town! In the last picture on the right the shopping mall (which actually was a bit of a dissapointment...).
